Your arrival
Your holiday begins as soon as you arrive - our Alpenhotel Karwendel is surrounded by greenery in summer and lies directly at a cross-country skiing trail in winter. No matter the season, we are always close to the German border and surrounded by magnificent mountains.
Look forward to your stay and let us know if we can help you with any additional information! We have described various arrival routes via Austria and Germany for you in detail below.
Coming from the Inntal motorway A12 (toll), take the exit Telfs Ost and then take the 2nd exit at the roundabout. At the 2nd roundabout, take the 1st exit towards Mösern. Follow the Möserer Landstraße (L36) until you leave Telfs and continue uphill. Stay on the Buchener Landstraße (L35) and follow the road for approx. 5 km. At the fork, turn left in the direction of Leutasch and after 6 km you will reach the entrance to Ostbach, municipality of Leutasch. After about 100 metres you will find our hotel on the left hand side.
ARRIVAL BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT:

Nearest airport: Innsbruck or Munich
- Via Füssen, Reutte and the Fernpass, you will reach the Mieminger Plateau and then Telfs. After that, please follow the directions above >>
- From Munich, you can either take the route via Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Mittenwald and then Leutasch, or
- you can drive to Leutasch via Mittenwald and Scharnitz.
For all 3 options, turn off at the edge of Weidach (bridge) in the direction of Telfs and follow the road for approx. 2.5km to the district of Ostbach. After approx. 100m, you will arrive at our hotel on the right.
