CINNAMON - FAT BURNER & DIABETES KILLER

Cinnamon is an aromatic bark of the tropical cinnamon tree. During harvest, the bark on a branch is tapped to loosen it, before being removed and dried. Cinnamon is used at our adults only hotel in Tyrol, the Golf Hotel Leutasch, especially in desserts.

SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN EFFECTS OF CINNAMON

Cinnamon has various proven health benefits, which are caused by a variety of different substances:

  • Cinnamon boosts the metabolism, thus supporting weight loss:
As cinnamon belongs to the warming spices, it causes a kind of heat development (thermogenesis) in the body, which increases energy consumption and calorie expenditure.
  • Reduction of cholesterol and blood sugar levels:
Since the substance polyphenol MHCP acts directly on the insulin receptors, cinnamon can help lower blood sugar levels and insulin levels. This releases the fat reserves of the fat cells, which lowers the body fat percentage, which is why cinnamon has been called a diabetes killer and faburner.
  • Improves cognitive brain performance and the ability to concentrate.
  • Due to its high content of secondary plant compounds, cinnamon is used as a preventative measure against cancer.
DAILY CONSUMPTION & STORAGE
  • Recommended daily dose:
The recommended daily dose is ½ teaspoon of cinnamon per day. The positive effect occurs and becomes noticeable after only 40 days.
  • Correct storage of cinnamon:
Cinnamon bark should be stored in a dark, dry place and in a well-sealed container.
This way, the strong aroma of the cinnamon bark is preserved and can best deliver its health-promoting effects.

Cinnamon is commercially available in the form of whole cinnamon sticks or in powder form.
We at the Adults Only Hotel Tyrol, the Golf Hotel Leutasch, recommend purchasing the whole cinnamon bark, as the freshly ground cinnamon is clearly more aromatic and preferable to its purchased powder form.
