WARM-UP TIPS FOR CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING

Targeted warm-up exercises stimulate circulation, loosen and warm up muscles and reduce the risk of injury.

We at Karwendel, the cross-country skiing hotel Leutasch and adults only hotel Tyrol Seefeld, have prepared a little warm-up programme for you to perfectly prepare for a day out on the cross-country skiing trails: 

  • Jump on the spot for about 60 seconds
  • Run on the spot for about 2 minutes
  • Squat jumps - 10 x
  • Swing your leg from side to side - 10 x right and left leg
  • Swing your lef from front to back - 10 x right and left leg
  • Stretch in a low lunge to the front, followed by a squat - 15 x
  • Stretch in a low lunge to the side, followed by a squat - 15 x
  • Stretch in a squat on the spot - 15 x
  • Loosen your muscles by swinging your arms in circles for about 60 seconds
  • Loosen your muscles by rotating your hips for about 60 seconds
  • Stretching exercises (see below)
STRETCHING EXERCISES

As soon as your muscles are warmed up, we at Karwendel, the cross-country skiing hotel Leutasch and adults only hotel Tyrol Seefeld, recommend you perform a few stretching exercises: 

  • Stretching your legs (to the front and back)
  • Stretching your legs to the side with a lunge (right and left)
  • Stretching your arms (to the front and back, as well as over head to the right & left)
