Our adults-only hotel welcomes canine guests with the same warm hospitality and friendly service, including dedicated services designed to provide the best experience for both you and your dog. The area surrounding Alpenhotel Karwendel and the Leutasch and Seefeld nature parks are full of wonderful walks and hikes that will set those tails wagging.

Sharing spaces in harmony

Four-legged guests are to be kept on a lead across hotel grounds (except on the agility course)
To ensure all guests can relax and feel at ease, our sunbathing and relaxation areas, bathing pond and swimming pool are humans-only areas.
Dogs are welcome on the sunbathing lawn surrounding our log cabin (please keep them on a lead).
Please ensure that your dog does not make too much noise.
If you leave your dog alone in your guest room, please hang the “Do not disturb” sign outside your door to avoid any potential issues with cleaning staff.

We recommend taking out liability insurance for dog owners, so you can enjoy a carefree holiday without worrying about any possible damage.
Although we are confident that all our canine guests are well behaved, please be aware that any damage to hotel facilities and furnishings will be documented and charged.
Guest room soiling incurs an extra cleaning charge of € 80.
Beds, couches and armchairs are exclusively for human guests. Please make sure that your dog stays on the floor – you’re welcome to use the dog blanket provided in your guest room.
Dog waste MUST be disposed of using the designated containers!

The entire Seefeld area is dog-friendly.There are several options for swimming with dogs.
There are several dog-friendly refreshment stops in the area.
All golf courses in the area are dog-friendly.
There are plenty of activities you can enjoy together with your dog, from hiking to cross-country skiing and winter walking!
There are two pet shops in Seefeld where you can buy supplies and accessories for dogs.

Essential information for your stay

We currently cater for up to eight dogs at the same time (max. one dog per room). Please enquire whether there is space for your dog at the time of booking.
The limit does not apply to Karwendel Berglodge apartments (100 metres from the hotel), where we can welcome more than one dog per apartment.
The daily fee is €20 per dog (food excluded).
Please leave your four-legged friend in your guest room at breakfast and dinner unless you have your meals served on the sun terrace, where your dog is welcome to join you.

Dogs are also welcome in our hotel lobby outside meal times.
You can purchase the essentials for a holiday with your dog in our hotel shop at reception.
A dog sitter is available on request (for a fee).
If you are planning to go on hikes with your dog: dogs must be kept on a lead along many footpaths and hiking trails across Austria, and this requirement is signposted. We recommend checking in advance that the route you have in mind is open to and suitable for dogs. Please be aware that a harness is a safer option than a collar when hiking in Alpine environments.
